American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists is the nation’s leading group of professionals providing health care for women, with more than 52,000 members. Inkthinker has provided copyediting and proofreading services for ACOG’s annual meeting program and other publications.

American Legacy Media is a small publisher specializing in in non-fiction titles that focus on compelling personal stories, biographies, world history, and military subjects. Kristen King edited the eating-disorder memoir Skinny Boy, by Gary A. Grahl.

American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is the world’s leading professional organization for oncologists and others involved in the treatment of cancer, with an international membership of more than 25,000 oncology practitioners. Following a nearly 2-year full-time tenure with ASCO as a copyeditor for its clinical and practice journals, Kristen King provided writing and editing services on a freelance basis for the society and its publications.

b5media is a global media network comprising several hundred blogs in more than a dozen thematic areas. Kristen King hosted b5′s women’s health blog, Lively Women, for nearly 2 years and co-hosted its women’s business blog, Biz Chicks Rule, for 12 months.

Biome’ International is an all-natural, holistic skincare company that uses human-grade, consumable-quality ingredients to create biodegradable skincare solutions for customers of all ages. Kristen King evaluated the the company’s early Web presence and planned and wrote all content for their first full-scale website.

Elite Wiring Solutions is a low-voltage wiring and home theatre company serving Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Inkthinker Communications designed and wrote the company’s website and a variety of promotional materials including fliers, brochures, and business cards. Inkthinker continues to provide website support and ongoing creative work in a long-term contract.

Author Emily Winslow hired Kristen King to critique and substantively edit her literary mystery The Whole World prior to its submission to literary agents. Winslow had a signed contract with a major agency in 3 months, and only 5 months after that, signed a two-book deal with Random House’s Bantam Dell. George Jansen, author of The Jesse James Scrapbook, hired Kristen King to critique and substantively edit his historical novel The Fade-Away after they worked together on one of his short stories during Kristen’s tenure as an editor with The Rose & Thorn Literary Ezine. The Fade-Away was subsequently published by Pocol Press. Kristen has since worked with George on multiple other projects.

The George Washington University is one of the leading public universities in the nation, known for excellence in undergraduate international affairs, international business, political science, and political communications programs, and graduate and doctoral programs in business, social sciences, international affairs, medicine, education, public health, and law. Kristen King authored the brochure for the university’s then-new graduate program in molecular biotechnology.

Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) is a national nonprofit that strives to promote excellence in the quality and integrity of clinical and basic scientific research in the field of gynecologic malignancies. GOG selected Kristen King to edit their 35th anniversary publication, The Gynecologic Oncology Group: Report of 35 Years of Excellence in Clinical Research.

Monolinea Design is a Sweden-based international design company that provides illustration and complete website, site interface, and icon design as well as high-quality, compliant front-end coding. Monolinea hired Kristen King to plan and write the English-language content for Monolinea.com.

Prior to its closure in 2008, Reel Theatre Designs was a low-voltage wiring and home security company based in Richmond, Virginia. RTD hired Kristen King to write and design their website, brochures, PowerPoint sales presentations, and a full range of printed marketing materials.
